Trance legend Push, the mastermind behind timeless anthems like "Universal Nation" and "Strange World," is officially back in the album format. Released via Black Hole Recordings, Known Universe marks his eighth studio album. For this milestone project, producer Mike Dierickx challenged himself with an ambitious creative constraint: the entire album was built exclusively using the same generation of hardware gear that powered his legendary 1999 debut, From Beyond.
Trading the infinite convenience of modern digital software for unstable analogue machines, Push embraced an unpredictable workflow where equipment could overheat or crash mid-session. This hardware-only approach allowed him to step away from overly polished trends, relying instead on raw instinct and patience. The result is a masterfully crafted, deeply authentic sonic journey that serves as the truest, purest reflection of the classic Push sound to date.
Across the new album, fans can expect elegant harmonic structures, expansive chord progressions, intricately layered leads, and driving low-end pulses.
