Marcus Schossow & Matthew Felner are gardenstate (small g). Schossow is of course a man whose production and DJ credentials need no introduction. Felner is widely known in industry circles as one of the men behind the New York promoter powerhouse Esscala. What they share is a love of subterranean, brooding grooves fused with infectious yet understated melodies. Bloom treads a similar sonic path to previous outings Indigo and Blur with some extra melodic substance added to the mix. Solarstone’s Retouch ups the tempo and simplifies the melodic content, resulting in a punchy, powerful and defiantly optimistic-sound.
