The next chapter in Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Remedy’ narrative, ‘Remember’, sees Josh and Dave return to the thought-provoking and wistful songwriting that has made them such a beloved act in electronic music for nearly two decades. After a chance encounter in their native Spokane, a partnership with Brayden Schmick (a.k.a. Centre) blossomed, with the versatile musician contributing vocals on ‘Remember’ plus strings accompaniments across several tracks on the album.
“I first introduced myself to Britt and Josh at dance parties she would host at her vintage store called Living Room. During a dinner at their house a spontaneous performance of me playing the viola, Josh on piano and Britt singing happened in the dining room. I then sent Josh some of my music and he sent me an instrumental to sing over. ‘Remember’ came to me one night and they took the first sample I sent them. Josh and Dave are both so personable and authentic, and I am thankful to have been able to grow a relationship with them.” – Centre
